There seems to be a hint of fall in the air these days which means we are getting closer to the General Election, Tuesday, November 3rd.

We have been extremely busy over the past few weeks beginning with the Benton-Franklin County Fair in late August where we had a wonderful time and a huge presence in the parade and then Jan and I spent some time in the GOP booth greeting fairgoers.

The following weekend was the Walla Walla Fair & Frontier Days and, yes - you guessed it - we were in that parade also!  We attended many events during the fair as Walla Walla County seems to be where we need to concentrate our efforts based on the primary election results.  We had a very good response when visiting with people who stopped by the GOP booth and we received many endorsements, requests for bumper stickers, etc.
The Columbia County Fair was the very next weekend and we were there meeting and greeting anyone who wanted to visit and share their concerns and offer support.
Between all of the fairs, my schedule has included appearances at many forums, interviews, service clubs, chamber of commerce events, social gatherings and throughout all of the events, we try to doorbell as much as possible even if it is for only a couple of hours in the evenings.

The General Election ballots will be mailed October 14-16 so we have designated, October 17 as Super Saturday when we will have 'doorbellers' throughout the district with mini rallies taking place on both sides of the Snake River.  If you want to doorbell your precinct, please call Shane Laib (509) 629-1354 for more information.

You may have seen our first television commercial on TV last weekend during the WSU game  (Go Cougs) but if you missed it click here to view it on YouTube.

Keep your eyes and ears open as the media begins this week on TV and radio (KEPR, KFFX, KVEW, KNDU, Charter Cable, KORD, KWHT AND KONA AM/FM) as well as display ads in area publications.

We are hoping to have the Nealey Campaign Headquarters offices open in Walla Walla & the Tri-Cities no later than the end of next week and we'll be sure to let you know the location sites so you can stop by and visit!  If you have any time at all to help in the office we would really appreciate it.  Please call Shane Laib (509) 629-1354.

I am convinced that now, more than ever in over 20 years, is the Republican Party's opportunity to re-gain this position in the Legislature.  I want to be the voice for change.  We cannot continue to run state government at a deficit and expect to properly fund core services including education, health & human services and public safety without exercising some fiscal restraint.

While we continue to receive financial support daily, the advertising costs are huge in a legislative district campaign.  We are receiving financial assistance from a statewide Republican organization but they are depending on us to continue to make every effort to raise funds locally.  I would sincerely appreciate you sharing my message, this newsletter and my website - www.terrynealey.com - with your family, friends and co-workers.

In the meantime . . . I will continue working to earn your confidence as well as your vote!
